As a teacher it is important to cultivate our inner peace because we cannot teach or give peace to others if we don't have it in ourselves. Inner peace is an important element of educating peace because if we have it in ourselves we can share more peaceful thoughts or ideas to others since we have a peace of mind.

Remember that students look at their teachers as influencers in class. If they see teachers behaving badly, they lose their respect for their teachers as well. But if they see their loving peaceful teacher, they will eventually develop love and concern for others as well. As teachers, we need to attract peace and harmony among our community. Therefore, start peaceful thoughts among ourselves.

Peace education is important for everyone, but particularly for children who are still building their identity and the values they hold. When we teach children to be peaceful, we allow them to be a positive role model for adults around them. When this happens, the impact creates a ripple effect in their communities, and the beauty of the relational nature of peace education is exposed. For me, the idea of a ripple effect is what drives the passion behind teaching conflict resolution skills to youth through peace education.

The Five Love Languages helps me to identify my students on what kind of love they need either Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Giving and Receiving Gifts, acts of Service or Physical Touch. It also teaches me to adjust my dealing and communication to my students so that I could understand their needs and easily for them to understand the lessons or teaching that I wanted to impart with them. It gives me a positivity-boosting complement to my students whether oral or written. It implies that I give a more simple and priceless surprise or token to my students to motivate them to do good and to learn more. It gives me an idea of finding ways and strategies to help my student with their lesson or task more easily for them to learn. And, it helps me to understand and consider their cultural values, beliefs and ethics. This will help me also to make and use of non-verbal strategies to compliment my students.

Anti-Bullying Policy is important in a School for Peace Education because it prevents all forms of bullying amongst pupils to improve the safety, happiness, performance, and attendance of pupils. It also shows the school cares and makes it clear that bullying behavior is unacceptable.
